Know when your website goes down

We check your site every hour. If it stops answering we check again five minutes later, and only then email you - once - and again when it is back. We also warn you before its TLS certificate or its domain expires, and send a short report on the 1st of every month.

What you get

• Hourly checks of each address: up is an answer (2xx or 3xx, redirects followed) within 10 seconds.
• A down email after two failed checks in a row (the second five minutes after the first), so a single blip pages nobody. One email per outage, and one when it recovers.
• Certificate warnings 14 and 3 days before your https certificate expires.
• Domain warnings 30 and 7 days before your domain registration expires.
• A monthly report: uptime percentage, every incident, response times.

Honest notes

• Checks run from Cloudflare's network. A site that blocks automated visitors (some firewalls answer 403) will read as down; the email says exactly what we saw.
• Certificate dates come from the certificate your server presents. Sites behind Cloudflare, and servers that only speak TLS 1.3, cannot be read that way, so we fall back to public Certificate Transparency logs - they show the newest certificate issued for your name, which is not always the one installed. The report says which source each date came from. A site on another port (like :8443) is read on that port or marked not checked; a site on a shared platform (github.io, vercel.app ...) gets no domain or log lookups, because neither the domain nor its certificate history is yours.
• Domain dates come from the registry's public RDAP record. Some registries (for example .de) do not publish one; then we say the date is unknown rather than guess.
• Only the emails you signed up for: alerts, warnings, the monthly report. Each has a link that stops them, and your private link cancels the subscription.
